Gameday Belles Boutique

IMG_9811My alma mater doesn’t have a football team. I’ve never been a big fan of sports, but I love the idea going to a big state school down South and getting dressed up for tailgating. If you’re not sure what I’m talking about, check out these pictures to give you an idea. If you do happen to go to a big university, or you just love cute dresses, I am so excited to share Gameday Belles Boutique with you!

A few of my favorites are the Alyson dress, the Alice dress, the Caroline dress, and the Camille dress (featured in this post!) There’s a variety of dresses and tops so I’m sure you’ll be able to find your school’s colors.

My favorite thing about the Camille dress (other than the beautiful color and the scallop detail!) is how versatile it is – you can dress it up or down and it goes perfectly with statement necklaces, scarves, or a fitted blazer. I styled it for a gameday look with cowboy boots, a casual look with a scarf and Jacks, and a dressier look with wedges. I’d love to hear which one is your favorite, as well as your favorite Gameday Belles item in the comments!

Bump Style: Nautical

These photos were taken at Washington Sailing Marina and are more of a mini-maternity shoot than a fashion shoot. Emily happened to bring along a hat which went perfectly with my dress, and I love how we incorporated it! Below are some of my favorites:

Maxi Dress at Emma’s Espresso

On Saturday, my good friend Emily and I went to check out a new café in Del Ray called Emma’s Espresso and Wine Bar. While the food was good but not knock-your-socks-off, the décor of the cafe was absolutely perfect. It had a Victorian feel with the silhouette logo and metal deer heads over the cozy fireplace, but I also loved how clean and simple the space was: black and white with silver dining tables and marble countertops. I can definitely see myself going there to meet friends or to sit and read and work on my computer.

I found this maxi dress on sale at Old Navy for $17, and I absolutely love it! With the ribbon tie, it works for maternity as well as afterwards, and it is perfect for this hot summer we’re having in DC. I paired it with two pieces of jewelry that matched the light blue geometric print perfectly- an Alex and Ani bracelet (I love this specific one because it helps support a Christian organization dedicated to clean drinking water in developing countries) and a beautiful necklace my mother-in-law bought me for Christmas.

Birthday Wishlist

My 23rd birthday is on June 27th, and I’m excited! Even though I graduated from college a year and a half ago, 22 still feels like a college age, so I’m happy to be moving on past that to my mid-20s. I’ve already told Scott I want a prenatal massage  for my birthday (much needed!), so this list is just for fun!

1. The Home Base Binder by Emily Ley

I use my Lilly Planner all the time and take it with me everywhere, but I do wish I had a more comprehensive organizational piece. I’ve been eyeing the Simplified Planner by Emily Ley and plan on getting it when my Lilly planner runs out at the end of the year. The Home Base Binder is basically a giant organizer for all the things you don’t keep in your agenda- family info, contact list, meal plan, finances, and has so many more possibilities (scripture memory, baby milestones, blog post planning, DIY projects, etc). Her website has tons of free printables to add to the binder, or just to use on their own!

2. Monogram sunglasses

I’ve been wanting monogram sunglasses for a while, and these ones from Etsy are definitely affordable!

3. Jack Rogers inspired wedges

I love Jack Rogers, but they are so expensive. These wedges by Monday Dress (monogram giant Marley Lilly’s new clothing boutique) are cute and affordable at $30!

4. Monogram duffel bag

I love classic look of this bag, and it would be great to have something with my new monogram!

5. Monogram tote

Speaking of monograms, I love this scallop tote! I have a black tote I take everywhere because it fits so much, and it would be great to have another large bag.

6. Tassel Earrings

I love Sole Society for affordable clothes, jewelry, and bags, and these tassel earrings are on sale for $15!

7. A pretty candle

I’m a sucker for anything from Anthropologie. Their clothing isn’t really maternity friendly (or budget friendly, for that matter), but their home goods section is ah-mazing. I love their candles, mugs, hand towels, dishes…everything! The capri blue candle is my favorite and the one they usually have burning in stores.
